| An international jury of seven selected four of my drawings for exhibition in the Pilsen International Biennial of Drawing (October-November
2010). The work was then selected to be shown in Autumn 2011
in the 'Best works of VII Biennial of Drawing Pilsen', in
the Gallery of Slovak Union of Visual Arts, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. The first (DH in the studio) is from the project in John Moores University, and the other three are from the Hope University residency. Each image shows students at work in the various university studios. I was able to capture the positions of students as they came and went over a period of two to three hours in each case. All drawings were made freehand in ink pen without preliminary sketches, and no students were asked to adopt poses. |
